Forkies Character License

Forked.gg · effective 2026-07-19

Applies to your Forkie. A Forkie is one of the Forked.gg voxel characters from the genesis Forkies collection (444 characters, and any later drops), as recorded to the wallet or account that holds it. Does not apply to the Forked.gg brand marks, which stay under the non-commercial Brand license.

Modeled on the approach the Bored Ape Yacht Club used for its holders: you own your character, and you can build a business on it.

The short version

If you hold a Forkie, that Forkie is yours. Make whatever you want with it, including things you sell. Print it on shirts, sell the shirts, put it on a coffee brand, animate it, build a comic, launch a store. You keep the money. You do not owe us a cut and there is no revenue cap.

The one line you cannot cross: your rights are to your Forkie, not to the Forked.gg brand and not to Forkies you do not hold.

1Ownership

When a Forkie is recorded to your wallet or Forked.gg account, you own that Forkie. Ownership is mediated by the record of the drop and any associated smart contract. Forked.gg will not seize, freeze, or reassign a Forkie you legitimately hold.

Forked.gg (Helix Games Inc.) authored the Forkies and retains the underlying copyright in the collection as a whole and in the parts you do not hold. What you receive is a broad license to the specific Forkie you hold, described below.

2Personal use

You get a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, and display the Forkie you hold for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment: profile pictures, wallpapers, prints for your wall, showing it on a marketplace, using it inside apps that verify you hold it.

3Commercial use

While you hold your Forkie, you get an unlimited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, display, and create derivative works from that Forkie for commercial purposes. That includes, with no cap on how much you earn:

You keep all revenue. No royalty is owed to Forked.gg for commercial use of the Forkie you hold.

4What this license does not give you

5If you sell or transfer your Forkie

The commercial license in Section 3 runs with holding the Forkie. If you transfer your Forkie to someone else, the broad commercial license moves to the new holder going forward, and it becomes theirs. Products you already made and sold while you held it stay fine. You just cannot keep producing new commercial works from a Forkie you no longer hold.

6Basic limits

You may not use a Forkie in connection with anything unlawful, hateful, or intended to defame or harass, and you may not use it to imply a false association with, or endorsement by, Forked.gg or any third party. Forked.gg may ask you to stop a specific use that breaks these limits.
