Applies to the Forked.gg logo, wordmark, color palette, type system, patterns, and key art in the Creator Kit. Does not apply to Forkies characters, which have their own, more permissive terms. See the Forkie license.

The short version

Use the Forked.gg brand assets to make things for yourself and your friends, for free, as long as you are not selling them and you are not pretending to be us.

Yes, go make

T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and other clothing for yourself, friends, or a giveaway
Stickers, pins, patches, posters, wallpapers
3D-printed models, keychains, desk toys
Fan art, edits, memes, videos, community graphics
Anything for a Forked.gg community event, stream overlay, or Discord

Please don't

Sell items that use the Forked.gg logo, wordmark, or brand look for money (the brand assets are non-commercial only)
Use the brand in a way that implies Forked.gg made it, endorsed it, or is officially behind it
Use it for anything hateful, illegal, or that would embarrass the community
Change the logo and pass the changed version off as the official Forked.gg logo

If you want to do something commercial with the brand, that is a conversation, not a no. Email hello@forked.gg and ask.

The Forked.gg brand assets in this kit are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Under CC BY-NC 4.0 you are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon it), under these terms:

Attribution. Give appropriate credit (a simple "Forked.gg" or a link to forked.gg is enough), link to this license, and indicate if you made changes. Do not suggest Forked.gg endorses you or your use.
NonCommercial. You may not use the material for commercial purposes. "Commercial" means primarily intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation.

What "the brand assets" covers

The Forked.gg logo and logo lockups
The "Forked" wordmark and "Forked.gg" name as used in the visual system
The color palette (Phosphor Green, Void Black, and the accent whites)
The type system (font choices and pairings)
The background patterns and key art shipped in the kit

Trademark note

CC BY-NC 4.0 covers copyright, not trademark. The Forked.gg name and logo are trademarks of the company. This license lets you use them on personal and community creations. It does not give you the right to use the Forked.gg name or logo as your own brand, product name, or company identity, or in any way likely to confuse people about who is behind a product. That kind of use needs written permission.

The fonts

The kit names four typefaces (Anton, Press Start 2P, Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono). These are open-licensed fonts published by their own authors, not by Forked.gg. Download them free from Google Fonts and follow each font's own license (all four are free for personal and commercial use). This kit does not relicense them.
